Breeding aims

-We breed Appenzeller Mountaindogs because we love this breed and we‘d like to support and to bring forward this breed.

-Our aim is to breed healthy dogs with a stable character.

-It should be versatile dogs as friends and companions for a variety of areas:
Family support and assistance dogs, dogs for use in disaster service (rescue dogs, avalanche rescue dogs, guide dogs, therapy dogs), dogs for the re-breeding, herding dogs etc.
Our breeding is a member of the Swiss club for Appenzeller Mountain Dogs (SCAS) which is a member of the Federation Cynologique International (FCI).
The SCAS takes only healthy dogs for the breeding, which are up to the high standard of the breeding requirements.
The test (Ankörung) pays a great attention to the nature and the character of the future breeding animal. The slightest sign of aggressiveness, and overanxious leads to exclusion. Furthermore, the exterior (standard / appearance) of the dog is evaluated.
During the breeding of puppies we will not shy effort, time or costs. For the new owner, I am always contact person for questions and problems.
I regularly visit breeders seminars and training courses. Currently I‘m in a two year education for animal-assisted therapy, education and support measures.
Kira, Elisha and Jbor accompany and support me regularly in my work in an internal school of a home for children and adolescents. Further information at www.gtta.ch.
